Kiplinger, a dynamic and forward-thinking Washington, D.C.-based publisher of online and print information, has openings for print and online editors and writers, especially in the areas of retirement and general personal finance.

Currently, Kiplinger seeks to fill the following positions:

  • Retirement Editor for Kiplinger’s Retirement Report. This position seeks an experienced reporter to write personal finance and lifestyle features on all facets of planning for and living in retirement, primarily for the monthly print Kiplinger’s Retirement Report, but also for Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine, as well as producing online pieces and contributing to other Kiplinger publications. Subject areas covered are listed above.
  • Senior Retirement Editor for Kiplinger.com. This position calls for an experienced digital-first editor who will write, edit and produce retirement content for Kiplinger.com and will contribute to Kiplinger’s Retirement Report and Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine as part of our team of retirement and personal-finance journalists working across multiple platforms. Subject areas covered are listed above.
  • Personal Finance Writer for Kiplinger’s monthly magazine: Kiplinger’s Personal Finance. This position calls for an experienced reporter to write personal finance and lifestyle features for Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine, and to contribute to other Kiplinger publications, print and digital. The position requires the ability to produce impartial, timely information and advice on broad personal finance topics, such as investing, credit, banking, insurance, taxes, purchasing and financing homes and cars, retirement planning and smart spending.

Successful candidates for all the positions will have at least a bachelor’s degree and five years of appropriate experience.
