Tax Day Freebies and Deals 2016

You've paid your dues to the government. Now it's time to take advantage of Tax Day deals and specials on or around April 18.

Tax Day can be, well, taxing, but at least the pressure is off. Now it’s time to de-stress with free (or nearly so) food and drink, along with other tempting deals.

Even better, there’s more time to enjoy Tax Day freebies and special offers from restaurants and retailers in 2016. Federal income tax returns, usually due April 15, are due on April 18 this year. The IRS moved the deadline to Monday for most taxpayers because the traditional April 15 due date conflicts with Emancipation Day , a legal holiday in the District of Columbia. Taxpayers in Maine and Massachusetts have until April 19 to file because the extended deadline clashes with Patriots’ Day, a legal holiday in those states.
